Warren Magid
Description
I am actively involved in music education and devote many hours of volunteer time to our local music community. I am proud of my many students who have won state and national competition awards and participate in regional performance events.
I studied piano and composition at Peabody Conservatory, but later transferred to the University of Maryland, which led to a 28-year career in
medicine. Teachers after Peabody have included Enrique Graf and Brenna Berman at the Golandsky Institute (Taubman Approach).
I served as:
1. President of the York Music Teachers Association
2. Director, Student Division of the Matinee Musical Club of York
3. State Coordinator of the MTNA National Composition Competition
4. Chair, Keystone (PMTA) State Composition Competition
5. Chair, The Dorothy Sutton Performance Festival at York College
